(Whoa....look at the Mariners go. In a span of 30 minutes they single handedly changed the entire 1B market. This helps the Mets even more now as there are 3 teams vying for 1B (Tampa Bay, Pittsburgh, and Milwaukee.) and 3 1B left on the FA/trade market (James Loney, Ike Davis, Mitch Moreland.
Of those guys Loney would cost the most money, and Moreland would cost the most in a trade, so Sandy can in essence just continue raising the price until someone bends over and succumbs to his demands. )

Actually how bout a 3 team deal with dodgers and Rays.
Rays get Darnaud, Ike, gee from Mets as well as Lee and Urias from dodgers
Dodgers get price
Mets get Pederson, Seager And Matt Kemp.
If we can't get Seager I will settle for Dee Gordon
Mets are not in a position to trade SP right now.
while the organization is deep, the MLB roster is still thin until July.
Plus that deal is far too in favor for the Mets.
IMO Davis will be a part of a 1 for 1 deal for a Top 5 prospect that is MLB ready.
