Cross Roy Halladay off list as back-end rotation option for . reports he is retiring.



Halladay and Blue Jays will announce a 1-day contract at press conference so he retires as a jay

This is too bad. I was really hoping the Mets would take a stab at him to see if he could get back to the dominant pitcher he's always been.

Halladay must have had a set-back in his recovery that made him believe he wouldn't be able to pitch at a high level again.

He would have been a great minor league contract signing, and given the opportunity to win the SP5 out of camp.

I must have been tough for him to make this call.
