4-13-15 - Minor League Recap

2 out of 3 ain't bad, and rain drops are fallin' on my head.

Star of the day- Eric Campbell - dude is on fire.

AAA - Las Vegas - (3-2) 8 - Sacramento (3-2) 5

    RHSP Noah Syndergaard - 4.0 IP, 7 H, 3 R, 2 ER, 2 K, 1BB

    1B Eric Campbell -  3-5, HR, 3 RBI, .526./609/1.053

    RF Travis Taijeron -  2-3, HR, 2 RBI, .273

    SS Matt Reynolds - 2-4, 2 R, 3B, RBI, BB, K, .150

    CF Kyle Johnson -  3-4, R,.308

Thor threw 54 pitches through 4, and did OK, but certainly did not dazzle.  Hopefully, he is lights out next time.  Soup Campbell is hitting better than anyone in the organization right now, but the Mets need 8 relievers, right?  Sit tight, Sandy will get to you eventually.

AA - Binghamton - (3-1)

Postponed due to rain.  Stuck with that .750 win % for another whole day.

A+ - Brevard County (2-2) 2  -  St. Lucie (3-2) 1

    RHSP Rob Whalen -  6.0-IP, 8-H, 2-R,  1-K, 1-BB, 3.00

    RHRP Jake Kuebler -  2.0-IP, 0-R, 2-H, 2-K, 0.00

Hitters took the night off for St Lucie.  Rosario had his 3rd double in the first 5 games, though.

A - Savannah - (2-3) 5  -  Rome (1-4)  2

    RHSP Martirez Arias - 5.0-IP, 2-H, 2-ER, 6-K, 4-BB, CG, 3.60

    1B Jon Leroux -  2-2, 1-R, 3-RBI, .385

    C  Tomas Nido - 2-3, 2-RBI, .308

This game only made it through top 5.   Arias, who lost just once in 2014, picked up where he left off.  Leroux and Nido knocked in 5 in 5 combined at bats, good for them.

Underperformer du Jour - most St Lucie hitters took the night off, making Rob Whelan a bad luck loser.
