West Virginia 7 - Savannah 6

A day after his walk-off RBI in the bottom of the 10th inning led the West Virginia Power to a 7-6 win over the Sand Gnats on Thursday, Jerrick Suiter was back at it on Friday as the Sand Gnats fall 3-1.
With the Power trailing 1-0 in the fifth, it was Suiter that plated the tying run with a triple and then came around to score giving the Power a 2-1 lead.
With two outs in the third infielder Jonathan Johnson walked and promptly stole second base. Outfielder John Mora gave the Gnats the early 1-0 lead with a two-out RBI single to right.
That would be the only run allowed by Power starter RHP Alex McRae (1-0, 1.80). McRae gets the win after throwing 5.0 IP and allowing just two hits.
Sand Gnats sent LHP Brad Wieck (0-1, 3.60) to the hill in game two of the four game set. Wieck struck out two in the first inning, but was saddled with a tough luck loss after allowing just two runs in his 5 innings of work.
Savannah reliever LHP Alberto Baldonado made his first appearance of the 2015 campaign throwing 2.0 IP allowing just one hit and striking out three.
An 8th inning solo shot from infielder Pablo Reyes would give the Power some insurance.
The Gnats will face West Virginia for game three of the four game set on Saturday at 2:05 PM. RHP Casey Meisner takes the hill for the Gnats, while RHP Dovydas Neverauskas gets the nod for West Virginia Power.  - team press release
